icould.com is a free, independent online resource, originally developed by CRAC, which offers people of all ages ideas, direction, inspiration and hope for their futures. In this time of economic uncertainty, icould.com is a portal and support network for people who have the desire to change their futures. It showcases a thousand individual filmed stories from real people in real jobs from all employment sectors.
"Young people need direction and lots of help when choosing a career and icould.com definitely provides this. I was very lucky and I found a mentor - a researcher, who went on to be a big cheese at ITV no less - to guide me, but not everyone is as lucky. icould.com is a fantastic resource for all people, especially kids to provide them with inspiration for their future career."
Davina McCall, TV presenter
Celebrities (such as TV presenter, Davina McCall and Fun Loving Criminals musician, Huey Morgan), senior business people (WPP CEO, Sir Martin Sorrell and Sir Richard Branson) and professional sports athletes (such as Olympic sprinter, Jeanette Kwayke) have all taken part and films of their career stories are available at icould.com.
"I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do in the future and am not sure where or who I can go to for guidance. There's so much competition to find work, I find the whole prospect of finding a job terrifying. icould.com sounds like a great idea - I love the fact that all you have to do is log on to get direct access to real people's experiences in the workplace."
Samuel Lucas, aged 16, from Coventry
