Biography

Jeffrey Defries has been Chief Executive of CRAC since 2006 and is the creator of icould, an online resource of real career stories told by real people.

After appointments in university administration, Jeffrey joined the Institute of Cancer Research in 1977, as Deputy Secretary then Secretary. He was Assistant Director of the Science Museum 1988-1998, then Deputy Dean and Secretary  at  London Business School from 1998- 2001. He was Secretary and Group Director of Corporate Services of NHSU from 2002- 2005.

CPFA qualified, Jeffrey has held charity board positions in UK, Europe and US and was a Civil Service College visiting lecturer. Until June 2008 he was a Senior Advisor to EFMD.
