Biography

Brenda is an experienced Careers Adviser working for Aimhigher Co. Durham as a Project Manager.

She has had a variety of roles in the Career Service/Connexions mainly as a HE specialist working with staff and students in sixth forms and colleges. In 2005 she succumbed to an alluring offer from Aimhigher and has been furiously raising aspirations (or trying to!) since then.

Brenda is an experienced trainer, especially with Staff advising HE applicants.

This includes running sessions for UCAS and at the annual CRAC HE Admissions Conference. She was deeply honoured to receive a fellowship from the Institute of Careers Guidance in 2005 for her work in HE guidance

Brenda has also had a variety of other jobs, most bizarre of which was working for a Norwegian Magazine called "Wilkommen in Noerdoest Inkjoep" (despite not speaking any Norwegian). She was also the most successful telephone sales person on a Motor Magazine despite not being able to drive!

When not working Brenda is a keen traveller and has visited Cuba and Morocco amongst other places in the past couple of years . Brenda is also fond of red wine, champagne and cocktails!
