Biography

Dan Shaffer joined SPA as a Senior Project Officer in December 2008. Dan was previously Assistant Registrar at Aston University, responsible for admissions, enrolment, examinations and teaching facilities. Before that Dan spent eight years in admissions at the University of Central England (now BCU), including two years as a part-time visiting lecturer in Psychology. At both institutions Dan was responsible for developing policy and good practice in student recruitment and welfare activities, as well as gaining practical knowledge of the student experience and contributing to national discussions on good practice. Dan is leading on one of the major themes for SPA, development of the Applicant Experience Strategy, as well as contributing to SPA's commitment to providing advice and support to HE on all areas of admissions good practice
