Helen has been a practitioner in the field of Widening Participation since 2000 and has been fortunate to hold positions at two prominent British Universities during this time, the London School of Economics and St George's University of London. She specialises in the research, development and coordination of projects which aim to increase the number of students entering higher education from underrepresented groups through the key areas of aspiration, attainment, admission and retention. Working with state educated students from primary level upwards, Helen has extensive experience in developing schemes that aim not only to increase the number of applications to university, but to encourage students to discover new opportunities, fulfill their potential, and support them in making future educational and career choices.
