What is it about?

Law continues to be a very popular choice for many students . There are almost 400 single honours courses and a success rate of 1 in 5 applicants (with considerable variety from course to course .

In this session you will have the chance to find out about the options at two very different but very popular HE Institutions - the universities of York and Northumbria University . Both offer very distinctive and innovative approaches to the study of law .

Northumbria have offered law courses for many years and offer a choice of standard three year LLBs, four year courses to achieve either a Solicitors or Barristers Exempting award and a new five year Solicitors Route. York is a relatively new player on the law field and in their innovative degree programme cover not only the rules of law, but also their application incorporating a problem-solving and skills-based approach.
