Decisions at 18 is CRAC's flagship conference for those who advise and work with young people, disseminating valuable information on the broad field of school and college leaver career options.
The three day residential conference began on Tuesday afternoon continued through to lunch on Thursday, with a mixture of high-profile speakers and highly relevant workshop and seminar sessions. It provided an independent, professional forum for careers practitioners from the 14-19 and HE sectors to engage in constructive discussion and effective knowledge sharing. With the continued developments in the 14-19 curriculum and the recent announcement that the Department for Children, Schools and Families will be launching a new Young People’s IAG Strategy in early 2009, careers education, information, advice and guidance have never been of more importance than they are today - particularly in the current economic climate. As such, the 2009 Decisions at 18 conference focussed on innovation and inspiration, emphasising new ways of working, different career routes and inspirational practice in the field.
Decisions at 18 2009 was delivered in association with OCR.
CRAC is delighted to announce that Decisions at 18 2010 will be taking place at Royal Holloway, University of London (20-22 April 2010). For further information, contact CRAC Events.
