Key Responsibilities:

Work with the Head of Researcher Development to support the development, management and delivery of the strategic plan for the ‘researcher development programme’s’ (RD’s) interactions with employers in the network.

Build strategic relationships with key employers and employer groups, promoting the vision, resources and activities of the programme, raising the profile of researchers to employers and understanding the needs of employers in relation to researcher careers.

Keep up to date with developments within the relevant segments of the employment and researcher development sector in order to anticipate needs, by gathering views and working in collaboration with the other network managers. Establish yourself as the programme’s leading knowledge source and spokesperson on the views and needs of employers in relation to researcher careers.

Work closely with CRAC’s Membership and Business Development team. Keep people informed and share knowledge with others across the RD (including Hubs) and CRAC, identifying future programme developments and wider business opportunities.

Co-ordinate and be accountable for researching, validating and developing new ideas, activities, products and services which will help inform, promote understanding, and meet the needs of the network.

Actively promote and support the growth of the network, ensuring communications and activities are customer focused, ensuring the maintenance and integrity of contact information.

Be accountable for activities being delivered within budget for your area.
Key Activities:

In conjunction with the Research and Development Unit, undertake and contribute to research activities, keep abreast of labour market data, helping to inform a national picture and future programme developments; presenting the programme as an expert voice.

Attend national and regional events in order to engage with employers, understand the issues, identify opportunities, and inspire confidence in the RD and in its products & services.

Ensure employers and are kept informed through the development of communication strategies and infrastructure to ensure they meet the needs of both stakeholders and the programme.

Work with others in CRAC and in the team (including the regional Hubs) to keep informed, share knowledge, develop ideas and find creative and quality solutions to help address gaps in knowledge and provision for your networks.

Ensure messages and activities are joined up and present a cohesive approach to the sector, by working in partnership with CRAC’s Marketing and Communications Manager and other team members, keeping each other informed.

Ensure that projects and work plans are delivered on time, to budget and to the required standard. Recognise boundaries and draw upon sources of support as appropriate.

Support team members to ensure that programme objectives are achieved.
