Getting involved

Could you…contribute to an inspirational new online resource that will help young people to think differently about their futures?

The icould team is looking for real people from all walks of life, at all levels and stages of their career, to tell real career stories.

Your story should be the whole journey of how you got to where you are today, including all the unexpected turns and surprising outcomes. icouldwill show users that in their careers real people change their ideas, goals, direction and even profession.

By volunteering no more than a couple of hours of your time you will be making an investment in the future of young people in Britain today and their potential employees. Your story will be complemented with relevant signposting to further information about employers, training and education providers.

icould will be the largest ever record of careers in Britain in the early 21st century, with an estimated 3000-5000 filmed stories at launch, and many thousands more continually added.

Get involved…

By the end of 2008 the icould online resource aims to contain at least 1000 career stories from people with the widest possible range of experiences.

If you, or somebody you know, has an interesting career story the icould team want to hear from you. The filming process will take place either in your workplace or somewhere close, so you will only need no more than a couple of hours. You will be made to feel relaxed and given all the support you need from our skilled and sensitive story capture team.

If you, your organisation, colleagues or friends want to contribute a little time to this important project email us at story@icould.org.uk, including your contact details and we will get back in touch.  Alternatively you can call us free for an informal chat on 0800 112 3504.
