Insight into Management
Insight into Management is a comprehensive three day course which helps participants explore their skills and understand how these relate to the workplace. The course has a 30 year track record of successfully working with students and employers to develop transferable skills and increase awareness of the attributes needed at work.
Insight is delivered for penultimate and final year students, in partnership with HE Careers Services and with employer sponsors.
Each course offers the opportunity to work in teams with the support of at least one Team Facilitator, who is generally a recent graduate now working in industry, in sessions which are delivered by experienced managers. This gives participants a unique perspective on career opportunities - and the chance to meet and work with potential employers.
Case studies and business games are used to give insights into a multitude of areas of business, and participants have the chance to practise skills including team working and management, giving presentations, decision making and problem solving - all within stiff (and realistic) time constraints.
