Tim Bentham
Tim graduated in 1984 with a BSc (Hons) in Production Engineering from Trent Polytechnic. He joined British Steel (now Corus) as a graduate trainee and over the next 10 years worked as a process technologist, Materials Controller and Planning Manager. During this time he also studied for a Masters in Business Administration at Warwick University as part of the British Steel Accelerated Management Development Programme.
In 1995, Tim joined what is now called Anisa as a Manufacturing Consultant specialising in IT scheduling solutions, taking him into a variety of industries including manufacturing gearboxes, office furniture, valves, steel tubes, jewellery, hinges, artificial hips and pork pies.
In February 2001 Tim left Anisa to launch himself as a new business called TRIBE Training and Consulting.
Gloria Sayer has had extensive experience in the field of work-related and enterprise learning. As a freelance consultant she is currently involved in a range of training, research and evaluation projects in the UK. In Summer 2005 as one of a team of consultants she presented the keynote address at 11 of the DfES Enterprise Education Conferences.
Gloria has held a number of posts in this field, working at national and local level. She was the national Enterprise Insight Campaign as Project Manager from 2001-2002.
As a founder member, Gloria was elected vice-chair of the National Education Business Partnership Network (NEBPN), a post that she held for four years from 1996 to 2000.
She was manager of Hertfordshire Education Business Partnership (HEBP) for nine years, having already set up the Hertfordshire Teacher Placement Service.
Gloria started her career as a teacher of English and Drama in secondary education. Like many others at that time, it was through the Technical and Vocational Education Initiative (TVEI) that she became involved in work-related learning and the partnerships between education and business.
Paul graduated in 1972 with a degree in Business Studies. His career has been in the Human Resource field covering personnel administration, training, employee relations, performance management, management development and organisation development. He started working for SKF (UK) Ltd as a Personnel and Training Officer and then in 1976 moved to Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Ltd as Management Development Manager. In 1979 Paul took on the position of Group Personnel Manager/Training & Management Development Manager with Portals Groups PLC.
